Dr. Subramanian Ramamoorthy

Subramanian Ramamoorthy is an Associate Professor (Reader) in Robotics within the School of Informatics at The University of Edinburgh, where he leads the Robust Autonomy and Decisions group. He is an Executive Committee Member of the Edinburgh Centre for Robotics, a Turing Fellow at the Alan Turing Institute, an Emeritus Member of the Young Academy of Scotland at the Royal Society of Edinburgh, and has been a Visiting Professor at the University of Rome ?La Sapienza? and Stanford University.
He also serves as Vice President - Prediction and Planning at FiveAI, a UK-based startup company focussed on developing a technology stack for autonomous vehicles. His research focus is on robot learning and decision-making under uncertainty, with particular emphasis on achieving safe and robust autonomy in human-centered environments.
