Dr. Lindsay Wilson

Dr. Lindsay Wilson was appointed as ORCA Hub Manager in March 2018. She has over 10 years’ experience in project management and consultancy, working on large-scale, international, multipartner projects between industry and academia.

Her current role involves ensuring effective running of the ORCA Hub on a day-to-day basis. She is responsible for reporting on delivery of each project, ensuring communication with key industry and government contacts, as well as contributing to the strategic direction of the project within the wider context of the UK Industrial Strategy Framework.

Lindsay previously worked at The Oil and Gas Innovation Centre (OGIC), Aberdeen, developing, facilitating and monitoring collaborations between academia and industry. Prior to joining OGIC, she was based in Tromsø, Norway at an independent consultancy and research institute, managing several multi-partner projects (sponsored by the major petroleum operators) and providing consultancy support for the European Commission.

She holds a PhD in Physical Geography from the University of St. Andrews and has held a postdoctoral position at the University of Tromsø where she regularly participated in scientific research cruises to the high Arctic archipelago of Svalbard.
